Azeem Ahmed Alvi (Sitar Player) born on 20th Aug, 1986.
Holds his roots belonging to the Delhi Gharana. HE IS THE SON OF Ustad Sayyed Ahmed Alvi (An 'A' GRADE Artist of ALL INDIA RADIO & a Sitar Player.
Azeem took his basic training from his father and later he was under the guidance of Mohsin Ali Khan. He is a disciple of the famous sitar maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan.
He started learning sitar when he was just 6 years old. His first stage performance was at the tender age of 12. He got 1st position in Sangeet Natak Academy Music Competition held in Ghaziabad in 2003 .
Awarded by Rotary Club if India in 2000 along with the National Scholarship by Govt. Of India
He ha sbeen performing many prestigious festivals like Harballabh Music Festival, Indian Music Festival in Japan , Indian Heritage Festvial in Spain & France. Karia Festival in Karia (Japan), Namastry India Festival (Tokyo), Deepwali Festival in Yokohama(Japan) etc.
Azeem has also worked with famous guitarist Harri Stojka in his upcoming movie Gypsy Spirit.
